“Bridging the Digital Divide: Computer Literacy Training” for Child Development Workers

             “Bridging the Digital Divide: Computer Literacy Training” is an extension program of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Last September 22, 2018, was the opening of the Computer Literacy Training to the Child Developments Workers of Buenavista. The 5-day training aims to equip the Child Development Workers with knowledge of basic computing concepts, security measures and the ability to use popular software applications to produce documents for the teaching-learning process.

30 Child Development Workers attended the said training. The training was conducted at the Internet Computer laboratory. Instr. Jason Arsenio, Computer Instructor was the trainer. Topics on Computing Fundamentals, MS Word and Internet Essentials were discussed during the training. Faculty members were also assisted in the duration of the training.
